My book is called Stories to surprise you. Doesn't have a specific author because consist of seven
stories, and each of them have a different author. The stories are called The Hasty Act, The Man
Who Hated Time, The Venturers, Never Trust A Lady, The Necklace, The Purloined Letter and
Larceny And Old Lace. I will summarize one storie, The Necklace, this one i liked so much. The
storie is about a woman, Mathilde. She was born in a poor family but she become so ambitious.
She just wanted have luxuries, but she can't. One day, her husband and she was invited to
spending the evening at the Ministry, but she got angry because didn't have jewerly and a dress.
Her husband gave money for a dress, and she borrowed a necklace from her friend rich Madame
Forestier. After of Big Day when they returned to home, Mathilde didn't have the necklace, she
lost it. She decided bought another necklace just like the one she lost. Its price was thirty-six
thousand francs. Her friend didn't know what happened. After Mathilde and her husband tried pay
their debts during ten years. One day she found her friend Madame Forestier and she said what
happened. Madame Forestier felt sorry and she said the necklace that she lent her was false, and
it was not worth more than five hundred francs at the most.
I loved this book because during the book you are wondering and doubts what will happen at the end and effectively the stories have a end really unexpected. This kind of book y like so much. And to finish, all stories have a excellent teaching.
